Jette de Jong

Jette is our resident Plain Language expert; and can write, proofread or edit your corporate documents and online content to ensure they comply with New Zealand’s Plain Language law. Equally importantly, she’ll ensure that your written material can be easily understood by experts and lay-people alike.

After completing an English degree at the University of Auckland in 1991, Jette had a career in training and H.R.; and subsequently worked as a freelance technical writer for a variety of banks, large corporates and smaller organisations. Her diverse portfolio also includes writing web content, company newsletters, media releases, Help files and annual reports.

Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation, by Lynne Truss, is her bible, and nothing makes Jette happier than supplying her clients with a clear, well-structured, easy-to-navigate final document.
